Isabel's city, a photo from Sao Paulo, Southeast

Photographer's Note

This is Latin America Memorial, the place in Săo Paulo, where Isabel and I had our first hunt.

The buildings here are all designed by Oscar Niemeyer, a wonderful place to do some hunting. There were several buildings worth while a visit, of which I especially liked the library. The round building on the right is that library. Later I will certainly upload one from there.

yours captured pretty well the mood of Săo Paulo, even in a sunny day it looks a bit dark.

Hi Rinie - fun to see Isabel and you reflected in the glass façade. A nice ensemble of modern architecture elements shown here - I also like the bird in flight, and the ironic touch provided by the 'no photography allowed' sign at the right.

Hé Hé, here the difference with mine is that I see 2 photographers! Nice idea this meeting so far... The reflexion of Sao Paulo is also well managed. Bravo!
PS: Normally, I will be at Amsterdam on August 19th for sail 2005...

I love the fact that both of you are reflected in the glass Rinie. I did see Isabel's reflected image and I must say I like them both very much. The planes of glass segment the reflected world suggesting that what we take as consensual reality is actually something a bit different. Films create the illusion that a series of still images moving quickly represent a "moving" picture. Reality is very strange, as anyone who has taken a drug trip knows. I know this is a simple reflection but it definitely jars the sense of what the eye normally sees.

It is, of course, a well done photo with fine detail and color. But seeing the two of you is what makes it special. Thanks for posting it.

This is good and sharp. It adds to the real clean lines of the glass panels. They are so clean cut it almost looks like some sort of distorted view of realty not a reflection. Sort of like we really are looking at an invisible building at people looking back out. I also like how the Niemeyer buildings lookin distorted in their reflections. Very well seen and photographed capturing the two hunters well.

Still on the joint project, nice idea, is that you in the refelection taking the photo? The angle looks a bit wroong for it.

Hi Rinie, Wonderful capture of this very nice reflective and modernistic edifice and a vital addition to your great travelogue for we can see here the two hunters in action. It`s very well composed and I like the way the mirrors break up the image. Very nice job!

Great reflection shot..i quite like those photographers in the corner (also TE members? lol!) they add scale and interest to the image definitely..and also the flying bird..
