Igreja Matriz de Santana de Parnaíba

É considerada o marco mais importante do município. De acordo com os registros históricos, em meados de 1560, foi erguida na cidade a primeira capela, dedicada a Santo Antônio. A pequena igreja era feita de pau-a-pique e coberta de folhagens. No ano de 1580, a segunda capela, dedicada a SantAna, foi construída. Em 1610 uma terceira capela foi construída, também por André Fernandes, e, em 1625, foi elevada a Matriz, hoje conhecida como Paróquia de SantAna. A edificaçăo atual data de 1882, e seu estilo é eclético, possuindo piso em canela preta e altares que acompanham a liturgia. É tombada pelo CONDEPHAAT

Santana de Parnaíba Cathedral

It´s considered the most important building i the city. According to historical records, the first chapel was built in 1560. In 1580, a second chappel was built and dedicated to Saint Anne (Santa Ana. In 1610 a third chappel was built and later considered as a cathedral, nowadays known as "Paróquia de SantAna". The present church is dated from 1882.

Hi Mauricio

What a beautiful church interior. I would think that a picture like this would work best with a vertical composition (like in your first shot from the same church), but with this horizantal composition we get even better overview of the stunning details alongside the walls. You have managed the light masterly. Only thing, I would have concidered to crop away the person in the left corner. Very well done, like it. Have a nice weekend.

Just lately I tried my hand on a church as well, but I was not so happy with the result. You at the other hand got the F-stop differences between the upper and lower part well. Certainly you have much more opportunities to shoot a church then I have here. I like your balanced shot, very nice color hues and high sharpness. WEll done
