Bridge over cold waters, a photo from Aisen, Patagonia

Photographer's Note

Following up the Austral highway we crossed several one vehicle at the time only bridges. This one crossed over a river which ended in a small lake, on the right side of the bridge you could see beautiful snow capped mountains. I was lucky to capture an oncoming car, as in most stretches of the road you may see a car every hour or so.

Impressive view and very dramatic sky, but it is a pity that the luminous part is overexposed. This is a difficult exposure condition and I suggest to use a gradient grey filter on the sky.

Hi Daniel, in that image the light is all. a strong light that filtred from the dark clouds. large3 parte in the shadows and other completely in the light.
great perspective and contrast.

Sky seems a little strange to me - did you do something to it? Still, I like the image very much, esecially the weakly glowing single lamp of the car.

Hola Daniel. wow, buenisima foto. me encanta esta composicion, las rayas del puente son perfectos, y el graficismo de los cables tambien. Me gusta que la foto es oscura, con los verdes profundos. Como la de ayer, hay este auto (bueno, ayer fue una bici) expresando la soledad de la Carretera. bien hecho.

Bufff que escena. Supongo que al final llovió no? tiene pinta tiene.

La espectacularidad del paisaje es una pasada, está muy bien. También me gusta la sensación de profundidad.

PS par contre je trouve la photo trop petite, il me semble que c'est ta PP car elle est trčs légčre - 120 Ko - alors que tu peux aller jusqu'ŕ 200 Ko.

C'est un vrai décor de cinéma. Un pont, une voiture qui arrive, un ciel tourmenté. C'est sűr il va se passer quelque chose.

The bridge looks great, like a small golden gate bridge. Its really a strong graphic element among this nature. The sky came out really well though a bit grainy. Was that intentional Daniel? I really like this travelogue in Patagonia.

Great picture with a fantastic perspective and depth effect. Very good POV and DOF. Impressive sky. Love the composition with the car crossing the bridge with the lights on.

I like this shot Daniel, it seems gritty in some
sort of way. The compo is very good, the bridge on the left with the mountains to the right balances it out great. And the lighting through the clouds with the lone car with his lights on.... Brilliant well captured. John.
