A delightful part of town with its wonderful pastel colours of this charming old historic buildings, spiced up by the colourful people. I love the layout when the receding verticals accentuate the sense of depth and perspective revealing the soaring beauty of this place. It's a catchy offering and something to behold!! Hello Paul,
some people like modern Athens too; in spite of many obvious problems, it has a lot of hidden gems and there are a lot of surprises for a benevolent explorer. Now I think I understand a lot about Bogota and its inhabitants, thanks to your three intimate streetscapes and your note. I like the points of view you chose to observe the architecture and the daily life. You ensured great details and colours, the people are as important as the characteristic streets and all the scenes look meaningful. Congratulations and thank you!

Un bon angle avec la prise de cet anglede rue ... joli effet avec ces façades couleurs, la photo est bien animée avec les passants, bon ensemble bien présenté.

Hello Paul,
You are really much too generous, spreading so many photos around as if they were free ;-).
I like all these photos. They all have the combination of interesting buildings and street-life that I enjoy the most in photography. They are technically excellent and they teach me a lot about one small part of the world that I didn't know anything at all about. You make Bogotá look immeasurably much nicer than I had expected. It's just too bad the those putting their meaningless tags on walls can't even leave fine graffiti in peace.

Bonjour Paul,

On ne voit pas souvent de photos de cette ville. C'est rafraîchissant et coloré de teintes pastels. Une belle animation sur cette rue où tous partent dans des directions différentes.

Hallo Paul,
Ik begin dit soort straatfoto's ook steeds leuker te vinden. Er is niet per se iets speciaal op te zien, maar ze laten (misschien wel juist daarom ook) de sfeer van en het leven in een stad perfect zien. De gekleurde huizen zien er aantrekkelijk uit en de verschillende voorbijgangers verlevendigen de foto. Mooi werk.

Hello Paul,

This idea of 'nothing special' seems to be catching on but I would strongly disagree with that sentiment, this series of photographs reveals so much about a country that most of us have never visited.
The scenes are colourful and exciting to view, and reflect something about the character of the population.
Though I like all the shots, the second is my favourite with its fine linear perspective and colourful links.

most of us have seen scenes of NYC streets, Chicago streets, Paris/London streets...but this...this is something new.
we dont' get to see the streets of Bogota too often do we.
its like Havana, but with cleaner and safer buildings, similar colors though.

interesting to read the comments about how locals and expats feel about the city :)

Fantastic composition, with the beautiful house on the corner, the succession of facades that follows it, is equally splendid and gives a very cheerful touch to the composition with its bright colors, the tree branches in the two eels are a nice touch to the image.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; are all factors perfectly made, in this beautiful image.
