Photographer's Note
This fellow was hanging out under the front desk at the Santa Clara hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. I just hope the clerk didn't think I was trying to look up her skirt. The Santa Clara is far too expensive, but it is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, and the toucan lives in its beautiful courtyard. I recommend at least stopping by the Santa Clara for a look, if not to stay.

Funny image, Chris, and well seen. It really helped that you had a monochrome and not busy background.
The eye goes from one side of the pix to the other, hey...What else to do? :-)
Image quality not so good on my screen.

hi Christopher, welcome to TE! very nice picture, clever composition with those legs on the side, the toucan is great. i think the picture would be even better if you zoomed a bit to have only legs and the toucan, without this sth on the top and with less of the groud, just a though.. anyway, nice work

Good colors and contrast.
Maybe you could crop a little of the upper part... to eliminate a part of a structure that appears here.

Nice legs! I mean as a contrast to the bird, it give it a perspective, as well as the overall color of the shot and that of the bird. Incredible opportunity to get it sitting there looking at you...

Great shot. The unexpected and unusual elements put together here making a great composition. The color setting is also wonderful.
Thanks for sharing.

Photo étonnante et surprenante. Ce petit toucan a l'air d'attendre quelqu'un ou quelque chose comme la personne ŕ côté. C'est marrant.
J'adore les couleurs du toucan, et du mur rouge derričre lui.
Jolie prise. Bravo Christopher.
A bientôt, Mel

Hi Christopher,
This is a very spectular shot of an unbelievably unusual scene. Every element making the image is just fantastic : great hot and sound colors, the incongruity of a dialogue beetween a pair of legs and a Toucan, the opposite directions the subjects seem to look at, and of course, the POV lowered to the Toucan height. Great shot, very funky, very friendly! Cheers, --amz

hey chris
amazing shot ... really unique photograph! i have to say, though, that the workshop is a big improvement. it really cleans the shot up.
great work!

Good POV. Nice legs!
Good composition and very nice light on the toucan. It's sitting in a nice pose, it's nozzle pointing to the right, and it's tail to the left. Rare catch, the toucan seems weird, it looks a bit like it is a doll instead of a real one. Funny shot.
I have to agree with kinginexile, the monochrome background is helping a lot.
The WS is indeed a improvement, but your version is nice aswell. TFS.

Hi Chris,
great and funny catch!
Good sharpness and warm colours.
IMO i'd like to imagine if a little cropping the above of the image will worked better...
A smile
