***Young weaver***, a photo from Cusco, South

Day 10 - Our first stop in Chinchero, a city located at the Sacred Valley at the Cusco region, it was in an artcraft cooperative. This girl was together with her mother weaving, she represents the future of this place, one of the last to keep the traditional ways of dyeing the wool and weaving it. They were all dressed with regional traditional clothes. I was fascinated by the girl's nice features and concentrated expression despite all tourists around the place. I had to darken the background in order to get the attention exclusively on her face. Eventhough I had used the mode portrait of my camera and had the background out of focus, the picture was still too charged, once the girl's mom colorful clothes appeared on the background. On the WS you can see the original photo. I had no other POV option at the moment. Any suggestion on how to darken the background so it looks more natural is welcome.

Foto eccezzionale di una nitidezza unica. I colori sono saturati e quel alone bianco intorno che contorna la figura la rende ancora piů dolce e bella. Come hai fatto a dargli quell'alone?

Bonjour Flavia,
C'est un joli portrait.On voit que tu as travaillé dessus et le résultat obtenu est trčs bon.
J'ai essayé sur ton WS de faire quelque chose,mais le fond est trop surexposé pour ętre travaillé,a mon humble avis.tu as raison de recadrer comme ça.
Il y a beaucoup de douceur et de pudeur dans ce visage incliné.

Tu excelles dans le portrait, avec ce magnifique profil d'une jolie jeune fille.
Pour répondre ŕ ta question, je pense que tu aurais dű sous exposer de -0.7 ou -1. Mais sur la photo elle-męme, tu peux arriver ŕ assombrir l'arričre-plan aprčs l'avoir sélectionné avec les outils de PS (gros travail ;o)) puis en réglant les niveaux : réduire excessivement les tons clairs et terminer en ajoutant du flou si nécessaire.
