Photographer's Note
Lake Titicaca is not only a tourist attraction of Uros. Perhaps Uros Islands in the bay of Puno is the least interesting, because there is nothing original, "indigenous" people (normally living in Puno) show daily theater on Uros islands for tourists only. I recomend to travel to islands in the lake outside the bay, it is much more interesting. These islands are accessible by boat without travel agencies and their prepared program. But knowledge of Spanish is necessary.
Here is one of a few wealthy residents of Titicaca. Regardless of "newish" sail, he owns a boat. The holes in the sail are useful in a strong wind.

Hello Jan,
A very good capture, excellent framing and an all natural look. The sail itself is looking great here!
Also, good note!

hello Jan ,
in our countries , many boats that never sail have beautiful newish sails . we can see here that this region is not rich at all .
The capture of this boat is both interesting and beautiful (perfect framing) .

Hi Jan,
that's an excellent shot! The colors are super but that torn sail is the major star here, the whole boat looks as if from a movie. Great shot, my compliments.
Have a great weekend!

Hello Jan,
I love this picture, your point of view and fine framing have given a great composition. I like very much that you placed the boat so close to the low border and the fact that its amazing sail fills the entire distance to the landscape and extends against the sky. The lighting contrast between the waterscape and the sky is fascinating; the textures, the colours and the atmosphere are marvellous. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely Sunday,
Ourania

Hello Jan,
I am sure the holes are necessary but I feel sad with the worn out appearance. Anyway very nicely presented, I can feel the breeze that is felling the sail. Great POV!

hi jan,
the cloth which actually was torn with good reason makes this sail look like a survivor photo. it is the first time i see such a sail. very interesting and has a timeless feeling, like coming from the times of pirates.

Hi Jan
now THATS a sailboat!!
probably the cool looking sailboat i've ever seen! haha
the boat has some charm to it aswell, and the water looks to be quite rough and strong.
funny, interesting, cultural, and charming scene.
