Photographer's Note
Another one from the Huascaran National Park in northern Peru. This was also taken while riding the mountain bike, some couple of hundred of meters from this location.
You can see on the right side of the frame, Pisco ridge, and off center to the left, the double turquoise lagoons of Llanganuco. Both the lagoons and mountain peaks dominate with their color the entire Llanganuco valley scenery.

Hello Chen,
A very impressive shot. It must be quite tiring to bike at such an altitude! The view is breath taking and I like your composition with the lakes, the mountains and the turn in the road below. It's a pity the snow on the mountains is just a bit over-exposed... but it's just a detail.

you must be in very good physical shape to bike on this terrain at such high elevation. Your photo though is superb!

Hi Chen, A beautiful shot of the sharp formation of the mountain, the beautiful colors of the water and the winding road. Nice contrast and good depth. This picture made me thinking about going to there. A well taken picture.

Beautiful view! It has great colours and clarity, and the composition is good with the lowest area on one side , and the highest peaks on the other.
greetings one more time:-)

Hi Chen - excellent overview of the andean landscape, the colour of the lakes is gorgeous, as impressive as it is now, it must have been quite a sight when the glaciers used to reach down to the lakes.

Good shot and a stunning view. The scenary here is quite incredible...and if you panned a little to the left you would see Huascaran, highest in peru. I particularly thank you for this as not only did I walk the length of that road one day, but also the first time I made this trek my camera broke on the first day. I also remember the faint path on the right side which goes up to the refuge for Pisco. ah..happy memories, thanks for taking me back there.
I hope you had some good brakes descending this road on a bike!
cheers, David
