Photographer's Note
Once a week, on Tuesday mornings, the tallest building in Ururguay opens its observation lounge up to the public. The Antel Communications building
(Torre Antel) is only 12 years old, and is among the few truly modern buildings in the capital city of Montevideo. As we were there on a Tuesday - our first day in Uruguay and only day in Montevideo - we decided to head up for a look around.
The tour itself was awkward, as our poor Spanish and the guide's non-existent English made communication impossible, but the view itself was stunning. In this shot, you can see much of Montevideo's Old Town, heading toward the harbor. It is reflected in the windows of Torre Antel itself. The tall building at far left is the Palacio Salvo, at one point the tallest building in all South America.
Much of Montevideo's Old Town is in need of refurbishment, and it is interspersed with more modern, blocky office buildings and apartments, but it is a lovely place to walk around, even on a cool winter day with few other tourists.

Hello Andrew,
He he, I like the title, and I like the picture. A cleverly composed view of this city of which I have no knowledge at all. Since my Spanish is worse than poor, maybe I could also make it there one day.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Andrew
An excellent use of reflection to extend the panorama - the landscape crop adds to the effect of the panoramatic effect.
Greatr shot

Hello Andrew,
An amazing view which you've captured well in a 50/50 split composition. Perfect use of the building glass facade to get a symmetrical view of the town. Interesting note as well. Very well done.

Hello Andrew,
Excellent use of the reflections in the windows to create a perfectly round shaped harbour and a well balanced city scape.
Well observed. Great clarity, brightness and beautifully colourful.

Hello Andrew,
that is a nice way of portraying the city. This mirror like image is very appealing, and so is the title.
Well done, best regards, F.

Hi Andrew!
Great shot! Love the mirror effect! Nice POV too, that tower to the leftmost looks familiar, I think I've visited that square over there. Seems that we both visited the same spots, Buenos Aires, Colonia (loved it there!) and Montevideo! Interesting. And all these places are something! TFS!
see you around,
Matt
