Aspirations, a photo from Colonia, South

Photographer's Note

Parrots were frequently heard in Colonia del Sacramento, but it was rare - despite being there in leaf-bare winter - to actually see one and get a clear shot. I caught this little one at the top of a row of barren trees on our way out of the Old Town.

Hello Andrew,
This is an attractive and quite original picture with a good balance. I see it more as a composition of lines and colours than actually a picture of a parrot. I don't know if you would agree. Whatever, I like it.

I agree with Gert. Unusual and original. A lot of sky with the branches below and the parrot placed in a very good position. Well done.

for a brazilian this isn't exactly a parrot, but a member of its family, there are many different members like maracanăs, maritacas,jandaias,etc. I remember I took lots of shots of them in Chuy (more at north). very nice image where the bird is like a fake leave in the nude tree against the sky. well done.
