Temples of Khajuraho (Four), a photo from Madhya Pradesh, Central

Photographer's Note

Khajuraho always attracts me for the beautiful temples it has, its a wonderful small town. I have already visited this place twice and still feel like visiting it again.

When i took this image it was about to rain and the dark clouds made the scene quite dramatic. It rained heavly later on and i could not shoot for the next day for rains.

This shot has been taken with Nikon D 80 along with Sigma 10-20 mm wide angle lens. Sigma circular polariser was used. Ths shot has been taken handheld. Necessary editing has been done before posting.

The stormy sky creates a nice dramatic mood that suits the subject well and helps it stand out. The visitors give a good sense of scale. Very good natural looking colours and excellent clarity.

Your pictures from Khajuraho are simply superb. They stand out amongst hundreds of pictures posted here, primarily because of the use of the wide angle and the dark clouds in the sky. This looks like the Kandaria Mahadeva, but I'm not too sure. Great shot as indeed are all your Khajuraho pix. Your architecture shots are great!

Good details in the ancient structure and it stands out well on the background of the dramatic sky...
