Photographer's Note

This is an old country house called Fuentemadero, located in Brozas, a little village in Cáceres. What you can see in the exterior is a tipical dove house (I don't know the exact word for this...). They were used to collect dove eggs as food. In the interior you can see the ruins of an old tipical kitchen. This all is very familiar to me, what is not is that hard orange in the walls. They use to be white...

I needed to shot up to 3 times to get the best results. The difference between the interior and the exterior were big, so I used my old Nikon Speedlight SB-24 for the interior. Since I can't have TTL with this flash unit on the Nikon D70 I used the manual mode with the head bounced to the roof.

The exterior was a little overexposed, but I always shoot in RAW so I could get some data back. After a bit of work with Nikon Editor I selected the exterior and added a bit of contrast with Photoshop. I think I got a decent result.
