"Minas" and "Gerais" Buildings, a photo from Minas Gerais, Southeast

Photographer's Note

The imposing buildings "Minas" and "Gerais", built to house the 18 departments and 25 public bodies, an alternative was the architect Oscar Niemeyer to the set of separate buildings as implemented in the Ministries, in Brasilia.

Each building with 240 meters long curve and total area of 116 square meters, was built as if they were five separate buildings. Construction was started from the center to the ends in a pyramid. While the central concrete slab next neighboring sectors began the next slab in progress. The other two sections at the ends then began to be constructed released. This solution has facilitated the work and agility to work.

The floor plan with large spans allowed bold and practical solutions for installation of the workspaces and living together.

These buildings are part of the Administrative City, a complex of Minas Gerais state government.

Bela apresentaçăo, as cores estăo lindas - vocę escolheu bem o horário para bater a foto. O ângulo, entăo, nem se fala! O pôr do sol no reflexo foi uma excelente idéia e muito bem executada.

This is very impressive architecture. I like the glass facades, and the way the setting sun is reflected on one side. The reflections on all of the building are really sharp and interesting. This is a combination of architecture and changing art at the same time.

Cores excelentes, e grande qualidade da luminosidade. Pena que o Aecinho do Pó tenha preferido homenagear um moribundo que năo evoluiu desde os anos 60 ao invés de projetar algum mineiro novo, que poderia prestigiar ainda mais o nosso estado. Preferiu criar uma grande obra do passado. E pena também que ninguém fiscalizou essas obras e essas licitaçőes - já imaginou se cavassem isso aí o que apareceria? Mas, quanto ŕ foto, nenhum defeito, ótimo trabalho. Parabéns!

Excellent presnettaion of this element of the modern architectur. The POv is very well selcetd with the large FG which give depht to the image. Superb color in the sky too. But, here, I like especially the incredible and very nice play of reflections.

sempre que vejo edifícios como este, fico pensando em tom de brincadeira: será que é algum hospital público? Fico só no sonho! Aqui em Brasília, há vários prédios como este, todos destinados aos Tribunais e a cúpula do Executivo e Legislativo. Em última análise, é um ótimo exemplo da impotância que o Estado "enxerga" a saúde pública em nosso país. Sua foto ficou ótima! Destaco o reflexo encantador que o céu do final de tarde aplicou sobre os vidros da construçăo.

con los reflejos en estos magníficos edificios has conseguido un interesante efecto gráfico, porque parece que los edificios sean transparentes y veamos el perfil de las colinas a través suyo.
Me gusta la luminosidad y el suave nivel cromático de la foto.

you show us another great architectural photo.
this one is captured in some stunning sunlight which is elegantly reflected onto the side panels.
the greenery is a strange but effective contrast to the building, whilt the pond gives off a mild reflection.
the open windows are my favorite aspect here, as the windows pop open, giving off even more glare.

Olá Lucas, bem curiosa a arquitetura desse prédio e refletindo a luz do sol de final da tarde.
Gostei da cor do céu e das nuvens. Mas o lago é que năo sei, acho que acabou tendo elementos demais na foto. Mas parece um local agradável de ser fotografar.

La beauté de ce ciel aux couleurs chaudes reflétée de maničre parfaite dans les surfaces des buildings.L'esthétique des buildings en elles-męmes et le reflet dans le plan d'eau ŕ l'avant de l'image.

Olá Lucas,

What a gorgeous photo of the "Minas" and "Gerais." The light gives them such a majestic appearance. I cannot imagine a more beautiful photograph of these edifices as the are reflected, with the setting sun illuminating one side, and highlighted by the lights of a few offices. Bravo.

I like the light reflecting on the building. I remember Brasilia when I was still a student in architecture and Oscar Niemeyer. Up to now I still wants to see this place. But it is too far and the plane fare is too expensive. So I content myself with photos like yours.

É enorme este edifício modermo apoiado em muitos pilares. Talvez seja uma forma de năo ficar muito em contacto com inundaçőes. Dá para pensar nos que tęm de permanecer aqui fechados a desempenhar e a cumprir as mais diversificadas tarefas. Mas vindo ŕ janela a paisagem é tranquilizante de grande beleza. Wow, que interesante, simere he admirado el trabajo de Oscar, para mi si no es le mejor es uno de los arquitectos mas importantes del mundo, ha hecho muchas cosas muy buenas e intelilgentes, este edificio es una de ellos, pero toda Brasilia ha sido creada por el.
