Cargese seen from the sea.The peculiarity of this village is the presence of two churches: on the left, the oriental catholic rite church and on the right the roman catholic rite one.
Such a situation takes its origin from the history of Cargese. It has been founded by a greek community based in Vitylo that escaped from turk domination.
Nowadays, many inhabitants have a greek-corsican surname.
