Berck-sur-mer.
oggi si concludeva il 25 meeting internazionale degli aquiloni a Berck-sur-mer. purtroppo le foto degli aquiloni che ho fatto non sono un granche' perche' la luce era pessima, per cui vi mostro un lato della spiaggia che da' un'idea della folla che riempiva la spiaggia ieri... il vuoto al centro era riservato alle squadre di "piloti" degli aquiloni.
peccato non aver potuto fare foto decenti perche' gli aquiloni erano molto belli - potete vederne alcuni nel WS.

Berck-sur-mer.
France is not very far from Amsterdam - it's a 3-hour drive until Lille, a bit further to the French coast. here we are at Berck-sur-mer, which hosts every year an International Kite Meeting. Unfortunately the light yesterday was horrible, so all my pictures of the kites suck - the best I can do is give you an idea of the crowd that attended the meeting - just multiply by 20 what you see in the picture and you will get a rough impression of the hundreds of thousands of people scattered on the beach and along the promenade...
the empty space in the middle is the enclosure reserved to the kite "pilots".
too bad I couldn't take good pictures of the kites, some of them were really stunning. I posted a couple as WS just to give you an idea.

Hi Cristina,

Seems like I missed a few shots from you in a past few days when I was out.
I can imagine the amount of crowd looking at your pic. The atmosphere must be very dynamic there and you must have a lot of chances to take nice shots even if you missed a few kite shots. The big colorful kites in your WS are nice but I like the scene here.

I appreciate WS1, with a very big colored octopus. Your post is surprising by the crowd surrounding an empty space on the beach. Looking at the people, they don't seem concerned by the kites, but prefer to take the best of the sunshine!

il titolo fa pregustare un immersione nei colori, degli aquiloni e del mare, ma la foto propone una scena che quasi non ha nulla a che fare con la manifestazione che pure riprende :-) Mi piacciono questi scherzi, queste finte sul ring. L'avevo guardata piů volte questa tua foto, e ancora faccio fatica ad esprimere quello che mi suscita. Di certo č provocatoria, per quello che ho scritto sopra. E di certo non mi parla di allegria e serenitŕ, anche se forse č questa una mia proiezione in quello che tu mi mostri. Ma non serve a questo guardare le foto degli altri, a trovare un frammento di noi stessi? Ma magari mi sbaglio,,,, :-)
complimenti per questa foto fuori dai luoghi comuni.
