Castle of Sigournais du 15th century.

The castle of the 15th century was rebuilt in 1490, on the foundations of a castle of the 12th century, built on a Motte-and-bailey existing probably from 1050. It is classified as Historic Monument.
The castle of Sigournais testifies of the military architecture of the Middle Ages. Nine towers, the height of which was reduced, were originally distributed on the fortifications which include a chatelet. We reached the castle by two drawbridges.

SIGOURNAIS is a French municipality, situated in the department of Vendée of the region Pays de la Loire, populated with 848 Sigournaisiens in 2007, distributed on 18.3 km˛, that is 46,3 hab/km˛.

Bonsoir Joel,

a quite impressive castle! Well composed and beautifully framed with the tree on the right. I like the spiky peaks in the background compared with the round heavy tower in foreground. Thanks for sharing.

Le arbres cadrent bien le château. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture du château de Sigournais. La bonne luminosité embellie les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Une belle photo, parfaitement composée, de ce trčs joli château féodal.Tu as parfaitement choisi ton angle de prise de vue et la lumičre était idéale, comme le ciel légčrement nuageux en arričre plan. Les deux WS complčtent bien la découverte.

Bonjour Joël,

XVčme sičcle et pourtant ce châteu a gardé bien des aspects défensifs, sans doute hérité du château précédent. Le POv que tu as opportunément choisi montre bien ces aspects. En outre la succesion des élements dans différents plans donne une trčs agréable profondeur ŕ l'image.

The feudal time is happy a long time over, short after the WAR II was this here in Belgium the yet Baron de boss.
Nice castle in in a splendid style.

Hello Joël,

The castle is in a very good state of preservation. This is exactly the kind of castle I use to draw with crayons when I was a little boy. Inclusion of a tree on the right side is a very nice touch. From the tree to the furthest visible tower. there is a quite distance. The image also has a very good POV showing a very attractive side of the castle. As always, I appreciate the natural colors of the image. A nice formation of the clouds over the castle is visually very helpful in creating an impressive atmosphere. Thank you Joël for introducing this beautiful castle to us.

bellissima e interessante l'architettura di questo castello che sembra il castello delle fiabe. Vedendo i due WS ho capito che il POV di questa immagine non č casuale, ma ricercato e voluto per rendere ancora piů bello e suggestivo questa antica costruzione medievale. Giustamente, č stato catalogato monumento storico. Hai fatto un buon lavoro, come sempre. Bravissimo!

It is impressive to see the castle of such the Middle Ages in the environment naturally enclosed. It is a structure with a strong building, and it is interesting the roof ahead is sharp. The whole is unified by gentle tone well.

tu as choisi un bon cadrage pour capter la beauté du château et de son architecture robuste ŕ travers d'un angle efficient visuel, qui surélčve ses formes et ses volumes.
La lumičre et les couleurs ont une jolie douceur, et l'image a une grande netteté, qu'elles donnent une haute qualité ŕ la composition.

Impressed by the 3D effect on your capture!!

The castle seems to "jump" from FG, may be the clouds effect, the superb shapness...I don´t know...but it is a strikking effect!!!

Great light management and fine details, textures on stone are very well captured too, amazing work yours!

Un bon PdV suffisamment éloigné pour éviter toute distorsion, et assez prčs pour de bons détails.
La lumičre était assez basse, mais suffisante pour de bonnes couleurs et contrastes.
