Hi Lisa ...and you are allowed to use your own camera unlike the bridge climb. good use of the road on the right to get an angle into that side and a nice mysterious shaded area below.

Ciao Lisa,
13 USD is not too much, and effort of climbing, but the result is great. Fantastic depth and what a sharpness! Excellent colours. Magnificent view.

Living in Sydney one may think you do this Pylon climb very often, Lisa - just to show the beautiful city skyline...
Yet, I must admit it's a unique post, as you noted, with 360 deg. view.
Magnificent urban surroundings.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

Hi Lisa,
This is a beautiful shot with lots of strong lines, the roadway dominating the picture but also leading the eye well into the distant features.
Do I detect a degree of racism in Australia? Why is it that if you're an English speaker, it costs 13 Australian dollars to climb the Northern Pylon but Italian speakers are charged 15? :o)
And, Lisa, call me obsessive and anally-retentive if you like, but was this picture not taken from the south pylon of the bridge? Had it been taken from the north pylon looking southwest, surely we would have seen some of the superstructure of the bridge? I suspect that this one was taken from the southern pylon - have a look at this map - then drag the little yellow man to the red cross (which is just below the south pylon), then pan around and you should see the buildings in your photograph (though obviously taken from road level). The Opera House, if my reckoning is correct, should be out to the left of this picture, as you can see if you look at this other map and do the same thing with our little yellow friend. I await your reply with interest as I guess that lawyers are inherently as obsessive as surgeons!
Anyway, enough obsession. To your picture. Wherever in the World this picture was taken (and I suspect also that it was taken in late afternoon as the shadows suggest that the sun was in the north-west), it is superbly composed and stunningly sharp and with fabulous detail in all those distant buildings. The "vanishing point" of the roadway lies at the upper right crossing point of thirds and the colours and exposure are perfect.
A stunning photograph and an intriguing puzzle!
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Lisa,
Wide angle makes the bridge look humongous, and it is pretty big in reality too. This high point is good for viewing CBD, sort of on the same level as the skyscrapers. Eight lanes, two railway tracks and a walkway, quite an artery.

Howdy Lisasydney,
On my brief visit to Sydney, I watched the people, or more like ants walk up, up and away. I was not tempted to follow, since I have vertigo (kinda like James Stewart in Hitchcock's 'Vertigo', especially the parts with Kim Novak....)
Thank you for the wonderful bird's eye view,
& have a fine weekenddownunder,

Hello chčre Lisa,
With you, I am a traveler of time and space. It was just yesterday that I was in Naples, without the vest. : ) But today, here I am in Australia and up in the air looking towards a magnificent megalopolis. This kind of journey is only possible here within the virtual space called TE. The view is without any doubt worth every penny. We have this very expensive view. Do you have a special account for TE? Every member who wants to see the view must pay for its admission. Wouldn’t that be an interesting idea? (I have now a friend living in Australia, she is your neighbor. I wonder where she lives precisely.) The view that you present to us is not only stunning but also very intriguing in terms of POV, and DOF. Pan focused view has a very effective perspective, which dominates the view. Through your eyes and what is in your pocket. We get to enjoy the spectacular view over the city. I am convinced that the view is very realistically presenting Sidney today in good weather. Thank you Lisa for this very nice view. I wish that I had a larger screen.
With my very best wishes,
Have a great evening, Lisa
Nobu.

Nooooooooooooooo, non posso crederci!!!
Lisaaaa, hai postato dei grattacieli? Ci vedo bene? :)
Ottimo il taglio verticale che include un lungo tratto di strada del ponte, dando profonditŕ all'immagine.
I grattacieli sullo sfondo sono molto nitidi, come anche il cielo.
Colori naturali e luce ben gestita.
Well done and TFS!

Hi Lisa
Great urbanscape and great high vantage point and long perspective. The composition is effective with the shot sweeping the eyes towards the highrise buildings. Fabulous image with extensive depth and fabulous play of light and shadows rendering superb detail throughout and good contrasting colours. A truly fine capture. Congrats.

HI Lisa,
I got a good view of the Harbour Bridge last week while flying over the city, and combined with photos like this it reminds me I should visit Sydney more often. The vantage allows for a very good look at the Rocks area, always a good spot for a walk. Not long now and we'll see fireworks all over the structure to welcome in the New Year. It's been a fast one. TFS.
