View inside Graslin theatre in Nantes. This theatre stands on Graslin square. It has a capacity of 784 seats. It was designed by the architect Mathurin Crucy and inaugurated on march 23rd 1788. It was destroyed by fire in 1796, built again by Mathurin Crucy and reponed in 1813. Together with Grand Theatre in Angers, it hosts Angers - Nantes opera. The theatre is filed as historical monument from december 8th 1998.

I had told you recently about Le Voyage ŕ Nantes (i.e. A journey in Nantes), which is a operation to promote tourism and culture in Nantes this summer. The most notable attraction of this operation are the many contemporary works of art exposed in the streets of the city. But Le Voyage ŕ Nantes is also the opportunity to discover unusual or less known places such as the Graslin theatre. I live in Nantes for close to 15 years, I passed by front the theatre many times but I had never the opportunity to enter into it. And I think this is the case for most of inhabitants of Nantes. But what a lovely surprise ! Speakers played opera airs when I visited the place, no need to say there was a kind of magic in the air !

Salut Olivier,
A different kind of photograph compared to the outdoors you have been posting. Anyway - it has a attractive frame and POV. Exposure and sharpness are fantastic. The golden shimmer gives a great contrast to dimm interior. I would like to see more stars from the lights - maybe. TFS

Wonderfully clean, crisp and colorful shot, Olivier; the shot is very warm with a persistent golden glow to it - your delicate and excellent light management brings that out beautifully. Nice POV butting the viewer inside the theater looking up and around in wonder.

Excellent light management, well executed and well realized image! Love how the subject glows and the golden outline really shines which is really attractive especially the chairs' patterns. Great compo and framing!

Bonjour Olivier,
Męme sans le titre, j'avais reconnu Graslin ! J'avais eu l'occasion de le visiter lors des journées européennes du patrimoine et notre guide nous avait expliqué pourquoi les sičges étaient bleus et non rouges, comme ŕ l'accoűtumée (j'ai malheureusement oublié les explications depuis).
Ceci étant dit, j'aime bien le cadrage qui partage la grande salle en deux, et qui souligne bien l'archiecture des théâtres ŕ l'ancienne.

l'ottima gestione della luce mette in risalto lo splendido contrasto tra il grigio ed il dorato, che si diffonde su tutta la foto.
Una scelta del taglio e dell'inquadratura molto elegante.

Cette photo de l'intérieur du théâtre est magnifiquement réalisée. Le cadrage est superbe et les couleurs splendides. L'exposition est parfaite. Voilŕ un lieu que je note pour mon petit séjour nantais fin octobre.

Trčs belle image Olivier. Une belle lumičre, un cadrage et une composition élégante qui s'appuie sur les rangées de sičge en premičre plan pour au final donner une belle ambiance, en ligne avec une salle de théatre.
Je me demandais si tu avais trainé un trépied, mais ŕ voir tes paramčtres de prise de vue, tu étais plus ŕ main levée.
