Photographer's Note

in the last few weeks, parts of county down in northern ireland have seen some of the heaviest snows in 50 years. it has provided a unique opportunity to see the landscape in a totally different light.

this was taken on ott mountain in the mourne mountains just as the sun was setting behind the spelga reservoir. the walk up was fantastic in the evening light, the journey back down was not so enjoyable in the dark, but it still beats sitting at home watching TV.
