Photographer's Note

It feels strange to write a “normal” note in this time that is anything but normal. I am thinking of you all, and I wanted to post something for my TE friends. Every day I am checking the news from around the world, and wondering how we are suddenly all living in a kind of bizarre surrealism.

Maybe this mural of famed Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí can lighten the mood for just a moment. Life is now like one of his paintings… This mural is the work of Brazilian street artist Sipros, who is known for his characters with big ears.

As in most other locations, the virus is spreading here in New York. Schools, and most other places are closed. All events are cancelled, and we should only go out for food and other essential items. It’s still difficult to process this sudden standstill of daily life, but health is most important. Everyone please take care. We are in this together…
