Maldegem: Belgium and Eede Netherlands and surroundings.

Real a ghost border, I’ve seen nobody, this is good for health but absolutely not normal.

I am born on 500 m of the Dutch border, known all narrow paths but, I takes no risk for a fine.

This is real WAR against corona with borders concluded between Belgium and the Netherlands
My father went through the first world war, and sometimes showed us (his children) the closed border with electric wire between Belgium and the Netherlands.
He said this will never happen again, unfortunately the man has long since died, but would not believe this, because we do not see the enemy.

A new bike trip faraway of people for COVID 19

This photo was taken in the morning, many people do not want to stay at home anymore, but the government allows us to cycle and to walk'
But keep enough distance, I saw that most people respect this.

The borders between Belgium and Netherland are closed, only one with Police post on the highway

The Belgian authorities actively monitor and several border crossings are closed.

To facilitate a smooth border crossing, it is strongly recommended (in addition to the identity documents) to have a written document justifying your move. Although this is not mandatory, it is in the interest of the persons themselves to provide a document that can be assessed by the police and customs officials as to the necessity of the movement.

This may be an attestation from the employer, a certificate from the doctor for the care of others or medical care, proof of co-parenting, copy of an airplane ticket to pick up someone if another means of transport is not possible, a proof for the care of animals that cross the border, ...
