When I looked across the Song Nhuy River (a branch of the Perfume River) from near the markets in Hue I saw this house with flood water to door level but once again as with people walking and driving through the flooded streets the woman in the photo seemed to be carrying on per normal washing cooking pots.
In the WS is a photo of the row of houses that this one is a part of.
It will only get worse with climate change.

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hi Ian,
Luckily it's a bathroom at the lower end of the house at left, so a little extra water there wont make a great deal of difference. But I worry about any snakes that might be in the floodwaters. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
Both photos are beautiful in a bizarre way, but they make me pity these poor victims of nature and climate change. The WS is perhaps even more interesting than the main upload.
Best regards,

Hi Ian
A very interesting and telling capture. I imagine people in such conditions have no choice but to carry on.

Hi Ian,
You have captured well the action of the woman doing daily life routine. The point of view is showing the details of the small house near the water. As you wrote the situation will get worse for this area and also around the world. Have a nice day.

Hello Ian,
I remember situations in Myanmar of people rowing a boat to their home. There they opened the door and you saw that the water inside the residence was just as high as outside.
Your photo in the WS shows that the larger and better homes are built higher up. Those who have no choice live closer to the waterline.
Sad to realize that situations like this will happen more often.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ian
Water to the brim portraying the real situation there with good narratives putting this into perspective as seen from a good view point. A good photo journalism too
PS: I will upload SG images sometime at later date.
Best regards

Hello Ian,
Disastous floods nowadays is a phenomenon people suffer at many more locations in our planet. SE Asia is vulnerable with soil erosion and low-level terrain.
Great reprtage on your series, picture is well made, as usual.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike
*** Starlings mostly be found in the higher area in Israel, Jerusalem for example. It was surprising to see such a large flock near the costal planes, frankly, even more astonish I was as it was even a larger flock than it shows on the photo. Thanks.

ian
we can see as the poor people choose this dangerous area near the river to live, the risks are ever higher in these zones, it is the same in brazil, where we can find more tragedies during the big rains. nice images.
take care
