Temple Adorned in Lanterns, a photo from Seoul, North

Photographer's Note

So, I aid a visit to a temple today only to find to my great surprise that they are hanging lanterns again for a celebration in the upcoming days. I wont lie when I say that lanterns are one of my favorite themes and that I was happy to be able to take some photos of them. I will be sprinkling in some new shots here and there in the next week or so and I hope you enjoy them.

Hello Rafal,
A fine compo with tight framing and a nice graphic effectt.I like the contrast betwen the structure of the lanterns and the roof in the background.A very crisp and clear image.

Nice shot. Good, strong lines and everything is sharp and well exposed. I think the contrast is a little high and perhaps it has been slightly oversharpened, but overall this is very nice. Unfortunate about the typical Seoul sky.

Hi Rafal, sure we enjoy them. Sure that you didn't have them hanging lanterns for you, since you like them so much ;-)). This is a very very good balanced shot (even the colours are nicely balanced!). Very good work; perfect like it is.

No need to write it, we noticed to some degree there is something between uou and the lanterns ;-)
Well composed view with a great graphical dimension, so many diagonals ! The rooves and writings add the becessary exotic feeling.

Hi Rafal, An excellent composition. I like the diagonal arrangement of the lanterns in this picture. The repetition of the lantern makes a beautiful layout. The curves and the lines of the roof are beautiful as well. A well taken picture with clarity and sharpness. Well done.

One of the things I like most in this image is the historical graphism made by it. Usually we see these compositions of crossing geometrical lines using modern buildings and structures, so this is a very creative approach to these subjects.

Beautiful balance of the composition, light and tones.
