Since summer has just begun, the warm sunshine has reminded me of the exotic views from last year's trip...The few days we spent on Gili Meno, the smallest of the Gili Islands off the coast of Lombok (the most quiet and least frequented by tourists ) seemed like a few days in paradise. Although the island lacks the palm fringed beaches (though there are enough palm trees inland) it's perfect if you want to escape from civilization...no crowds, no cars, no roads...the perfectly clear water, white sand and the quiet atmosphere, and a banana shake for breakfast every morning with a view exaclty like this will never escape my memory.
Unfortunately, the quality of the scanned photo spoils it a little.
