Photographer's Note
Two societies - the one living high in the Andese mountains of the poor local Peruvians and the other one the much richer of the foreigners coming to spend their money here. Two societies, however one train. One engine with different carriages. The red carriage for locals, cheap travel, low comfort and many local people like the one from my picture "Hard life in her eyes". The two last carriages in blue, full of opulence - one restaurant carriage and the other smoker's saloon with an observation terrace for a few foreigners. Spectacular views from there. Expensive but unique experience while travelling from Cusco to Puno over La Raya Pass. Easy, just one train and two strictly separated Worlds. How much money spent here by the richer travellers remains here to improve the hard life of the locals ? Where does the money go ?

Amazing picture... it almost looks painted, the way you've kept the train in focus and blurred the terrain. Well done!

Excellent picture, Michael!
I love the point of view with the train curve, and the moutain in the back.
The speed effect thanks to the blurred floor is very well shown.

The photo is magnificent! You chose the perfect moment to take it, and it's sheer quality. Provoking note as well.

Well... i dont know what to say about this photo! Im astonished! Peru is a place i dream of since my best friend went there! It must be a great place! And this photo is amazing. The motion on the field, and the focus on the train and on the Andes make this photo absolutely amazing, like we are in some time vortex! Well ... Great job! Congratulations!

Great motion picture! At first I thought this was the train to Aquas Calientes, but the scenery didn`t matched the Sacred Valley and then I finished reading your note...
Good composition, leading the eye toward the end of the train and the peak in the background.Good speed and DOF control!

A fine composition, Michael, with great dynamics, special effects, and foreground and mid-frame contrast. My only critique is with the background, which is rather washed out. I will do a WS to just slightly enhance. Overall, a great capture of which to be proud. Well done.

Bonjour Michael,
une vue trčs originale,
l'intention d'allonger le temps de pose pour obtenir cet effet de mouvement est réussi, ce qui devait rester net, l'est resté.
Trčs bien vu et réalisé.
Daniel.

Hi Michael,
Great shot. Good idea to blur the ground on the left to give an impression of speed!
Regards, Brigitte
