Spice Vendor, a photo from Cusco, South

Photographer's Note

This spice vendor was at the Sunday Pisaac market. He drew my attention with his spices colors, his attitude, and the exchange that was going on behind him.

I hesitated to crop it more tight but did not want to lose the background figures. What do you think?

Good photojournalism Vanessa. I like this kind of market picture. His pose is interesting and all the people in the back really give life to the picture. Colors are great.

I don't think you should crop, because it would be difficult to make a rectangular crop without losing any of the people or spices. But I think that the plastic bags (lower right corner, upper left corner) are a little disturbing. They could probably have been eliminated if you had chosen a different angle, but then the man might have noticed you and not given such an excellent pose, The bags give a realistic atmosphere to the picture though.

IMO the pepople in the back value your pic, even being a bit distracting. The vendor's attitude is great.
I'm not sure if you delivered the right DOF. Also, I think you shoul upload a larger pic, you're allowed to have a 800p side and you used only 70% of it :(

I believe he was selling colors, however I did not understand Spanish. Like your broad view with other people in the bacground and the bright colors of Peru. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael
