Photographer's Note

Arnstapi, small fishermen village on the Snaefellsness peninsula at the bottom of Snaefell volcano.
Because of these great clouds blanket, we couldn't see the volcano but we could "appreciate" icelandic weather : rain, a bit sun and espacially very strong wind (during this journey, the wind was so strong that it made the cascades could'nt touch the ground!).

This dark clouds make this place very secretive.
But it's an advantage of this picture.

The cute little red house set in this strongly elemental looking landscape looks incongruously beautiful to me.

Cette photo est superbe, la composition avec tous ces rochers et la petite maison, perdue dans ces immensités est trčs réussie. Les couluers sont trčs intenses. Je trouve toutefois que l'image pourrait ętre un peu plus nette, ce qui rendrait plus d eforce aux détails. Je vais tenter un WS mais quoi qu'il en soit cette photo est trčs réussie

excellent point de vue, qui montre bien l'isolement de cette magnifique maison et les textures des rochers, en plus les condiitons météo etait parfaite pour ajouter ŕ l'ambiance, trčs impressionnant, beau travail,

Je m'arrette sur celle lŕ pour sa construction harmonieuse et equilibrée,on sens un gros boulot de PP qui donne une ambiance unique,de plus l'Islande est peiu representée sur TE,merci du partage,

Bonjour Jean-Luc
Je me rend compte que je n'ai męme pas fait l'effort de te féliciter pour cette prise qui a "bercé mon enfance"... cad il y a 2 ans quand je préparais mon voyage pour l'Islande.
J'ai été tout simplement enchanté par cette atmosphčre sombre et inquiétante, due ŕ la météo chargée et ŕ ces blocs de basalte dont on se demande pourquoi ils sont lŕ (question qui revient souvent en Islande).
Cette composition est tout simplement excellente, avec ce bloc au premier plan, la maison ensuite, et enfin la montagne et la brume.
Donc voila, cela méritait bien un hommage, męme tardif
