Le dimanche, il n'y a pas d'école.
Alors en famille, nous allons a Koh Dach.
La bas, on se sent libre.
On achete un poulet et quelques mangues.
On joue dans le Mekong, on saute, on plonge.
On s'amuse comme des fous.
Et puis on dors dans des cabanes en bois.
Une journée de vacances.
Ca fait du bien.

Sunday, there is no school.
Then in family, we go in Koh Dach.
There, one feels free.
One buy a chicken and some mangos.
One plays in Mekong, one jumps, one plunges.
One has fun like the insane ones.
And then one sleep in huts out of wooden.
One day of holidays.
It is good.

I cannot read French but I can see the beauty of this photograph. The action of the little boy was nicely frozen by your camera. The composition, color and point of view are equally interesting and very good.

Salut Bertrand, Elle est vraiment splendide cette photo. Belle action de cette enfant, pris au moment parfait! L'enjouement est tellement charmant. Je trouve que la composition excelle ici sur tout les niveaux; la position de la cabane, bien sur ce petit gamin en plein action mais aussi l'arričre plan qui est tellement intéressant et riche en détail avec les bicyclettes soigneusement positionnées et puis le monsieur parfaitement entre les 2 pilier. Vraiment un travail de grande qualité, bravo! Sabine

your note reminds me of one question that I asked a friend of mine from Chile
I asked him how the economy in Chile was and he said "If you wore speedos and hanged out on the beach all day, would you care about the economy?".
So I guess this photo does explain that fact about the economy and school pretty well.

Quand j'ai vu la miniature, j'ai cru au départ ŕ un détail achitectural particulier. Particulier, il l'est parce que vivant ! Touts ces gamins qui se balancent sans se rendre compte des dangers. Il pouvait se fraquasser le crame sur le plancher en bois. Mais c'est le régime de l'insouciance ! Surtout dans ces régions du monde.

Tres fun je trouve la position, belle vue ensoleillee ou apres avoir bien rigole en voyant le gamin on remarque les tranches de vie qui se deroulent en arriere plan, tres bien fait je trouve. Fais bien cuire le poulet quand meme...

This is very clear. You can even see that he's jumped once already. The building and his angle make a good line through the picture and a parallel to the line of roofs in the background. Well done Bertrand.

Ce qui a nécessité un cadrage rapide avec un bon réflexe au déclenchement.

Apres tant de commentaires je suis pas sur si le mien dira qc de nouveau sur ta photo:)
Bien que les couleurs ne soient pas tres saturees, elles correspondent bien a l'ambiance de la scene. Ce qui me plait le plus c'est l'instant de joie(?) ou de detente de ce garcon. Ce saute vif contraste un peu avec la realite gris de la scene (pas litteralement bien sur).
