Photographer's Note

I was surprised to find no images on TrekEarth of this reputedly famous, very old Nottingham Pub which I was fortunate to be introduced to by "locals". Whether or not it dates from the 12th Century as claimed, it certainly feels very old and for an anglo Australian tourist this is what we come to see. Drinking local brew while wandering through its interior, carved out of the surrounding castle rock is a special experience. It might be a tourist trap - but it had a nice feel about it this day and it was interesting and fun. You can take a virtual tour at www.yeoldetriptojerusalem.com and learn some of its fascinating history (or just google). As for the photo, well unfortuately I was there at the end of a dull day but I think it gives a nice impression of the place. It just lacks the smell of brewed hops!
