Basel is not so famous to the unsuspected tourist, although it offers many beauties, like very nice old houses plus some beautiful views on the river Rhine.

It would haven been a classic postcard of Basel if the colours and contrast would have not been so flat and picture better exposed. If the sky seems to be well exposed the rest of the picture seems a bit underexposed and therefore too dark. In digital photography it's a good habit to the metering on the brighter area of contrasted scene but then exposure should be either compensated by opening the aperture a bit more or by reworking the levels in the postprocessin to bring back some contrast and lgiht in the darker area of the picture.
