Photographer's Note
I SHOOT IT AT GANGASAGAR MELA(FAIR).
Gangasagar Mela is the largest fair celebrated in West Bengal(INDIA). This fair is held where the Ganga and the Bay of Bengal form a nexus. Hence the name Gangasagar Mela. This festival is celebrated during January every year and is a major attraction for millions of piligrams from all over India.
The pilgrims come for a holy dip on Makar Sankranti (last day of the Bengali Month) Negha -Mid January. They take dips in the Ganges and offer water to the Sun God. The dip, as they say, purifies their 'self' and according to them, 'punya' can be obtained thus. When they are done with the ritual obligations, they head towards the Kapilmuni Temple situated nearby, to worship the deity as a mark of respect.
In every year in the time of fair, some poor local people temporarily build up a tent with plastic & bamboo to beg with their child from the men who came here to obtain "punya" (accumulate of religious merits).

Wow what a shot. Thank you for showing us this place. Actually, you could crop this photo to leave just the eyes of the sign at the top near the top of the frame.(Crop all the headgear out). That way, the girls eyes and the signs eyes would appear to be even more juxtaposed.
Great Job.

This is a very interesting photo ! I wish you had written some more about the girl here (I assume that she is a girl), and why you decided to name her a goddess... But this photo is brilliant, and I'll add it to my new theme !
Bravo, TFS?
Cath.
