La route est grise.
La ligne est blanche.
C'est triste et monotone.
Alors, mon il recherche des taches multicolores.
J'aime les points rouges.
Ils vont plus vite.
Comme des globules dans une artčre.
Comme une goutte de sang qui coule.
Comme une coccinelle sur le bitume.
J'aime les points rouges.

The line is white.
It's sad and monotonous.
Then, my eye research of the multicoloured spots.
I like red points.
They go more quickly.
As globules in an artery.
As a drop of blood which fall.
As a ladybird which rolls.
I like red points.

Faut vraiment ętre médecin pour voir les minis en gouttes de sang. Il est vrai que męme la pub pour cette bagnole nous parle de testostérone ! (en Belgique en tout cas !).

Hi Bertrand,
So simple yet sometimes so difficult to execute and get what you want to. This compo is perfect. The red Mini is well placed and contrast beautifully to the grey asphalt and the white markings. Its shadow is well visible which adds as are the details on the asphalt.
Good framing as well.

Grande réussite pour cette mini et simple photo.
C'est justement cette simplicité non habituelle qui en fait un cliché exceptionnel.
Je me pose néanmoins une question:
Tu n'étais évidemment pas ŕ la verticale de la mini, et pourtant on croirait presque. Quant ŕ l'avenue, il n'y en a pas qui passe sous la tour Eiffel! Aurais-tu pivoté l'image ŕ 90°?

Tres tres bien vu ca, une merveille de cadrage cette photo, si qqn du marketing BMW tombe dessus tu obtiendras tout de suite les fonds pour acceder a l'univers du 1D MkIII ;-)
Au dela de cette impression de perfection dans le cadrage, l'histoire de TE retiendra que c'est moi le vilain petit canard qui a remarque que tes hautes lumieres sont quand meme salement cramees sur cette image, mais bon le cadrage est si bon que ca relegue cette petite imperfection en arriere plan.

Bonjour Bertand,

Lovely shot, for its simplicity and elegance, in the style of the best of 'Minimalist Art.' The photo reminds me very much of an advertising photo of the Range Rover the road completely landlocked with the sand from the desert serving as the borders driving along merrily through the sand.

As an artist/scientist (professor of physics) I like very much the composition, the simple symmetry, and the technical aspects of the exposure.

La voiture est un peu flou chez moi aussi.
Si tu utilises le mode couleur Adobe RGB, l'image ne sera pas la męme sur TE... mais ça ne devrait pas modifier le piqué ??? bizarre bizarre...

Pendant un moment (et avant de lire ta reponse), je me suis sincerement demande d'ou tu avais pris cette image (superbe, au demeurant).
La simplicite du graphisme et la symetrie parfaite juste rompue par la presence de la mini rouge sont remarquables. Franchement, et sans vouloir etre flatteur a outrance, je trouve l'idee de ce cliche est geniale!
Une jolie note d'accompagnement, comme d'habitude, vient apporter une cerise (rouge) sur le gateau..

One question; did you add the white line yourself or is it a real road marking? It's just that it seems so perfectly straight.
Either way, this is a really superb shot with an elegant simplicity and wonderful graphism.
The white line divides the frame into two equal halves, and the mini is perfectly positioned in the frame.
It would have been interesting to see how this would have looked with a slower shutter speed and a bit of motion blur on the vehicle.
This is one of the best shots that I've seen here in a long time, from you or anyone else.

Je joins mon compliment ŕ tous ceux qui ont déjŕ été écrits au sujet de cette photo remarquable dans sa simplicité. La Mini est pile poil oů elle devait ętre et sa couleur est idéale pour trancher sur le gris de la chaussée.
La photo est vraiment un art!

Betrand, cette image bien que minimaliste est trčs agréable ŕ l'oeil... Plus qu'une voiture j'ai l'impression de voir une coccinnelle. La symétrie opérée ici est incroyable (le PDV aussi bien sűr).
Bravo, c'est une chouette photo assez inattendue.

Composition d'art graphique, ŕ partir d'une idée minimaliste! Il fallait y penser! To be or not to be... alone on the Road... Ce jour-lŕ, il n'y avait pas de bouchons apparemment, et la route était bien droite!
