Photographer's Note

Toledo vive apaciblemente rodeada por las aguas del Tajo. Estas aguas, en tiempos, servían de obstáculo natural para la defensa de la ciudad. Vivió guerras y vivió también momentos esplendorosos. Capital del reino visigótico de la Espańa preislámica fue después de la Reconquista por Alfonso VI (s. XI) el escenario de una peculiar y difícil -pero, al fin y al cabo, posible- convivencia entre cristianos, judíos y musulmanes. En tiempos del rey sabio, Alfonso X, fue lugar de trabajo multicultural, con su Escuela de Traductores que tradujo textos judíos y árabes al latín y a la vez tradujo muchos textos de la cultura clásica al árabe. No siempre, pero en muchas ocasiones el pasado nos da lecciones de convivencia y tolerancia. Ojalá aprendamos algo.

La foto está tomada al final de un bello día, en compańía de Frances, Kev, su hijo Brendan y Miguel,. Muy buena compańía para un apacible momento.

Toledo lives pleasantly surrounded by the waters of the Tajo river. These waters, in past times, were serving as natural obstacle for the defense of the city. It suffered wars and lived also splendorous moments. Capital of the visigothic kingdom from the preIslamic Spain, it was after the Reconquest for Alfonso VI (XIth century) the stage of the peculiar and difficult one - but, after all, possible - coexistence between Christians, Jews and Muslims. In times of the wise king, Alfonso X, it was a place of multicultural work, with the Translators' School that translated Jewish and Arab texts to the Latin and simultaneously he translated many texts of the classic culture to the Arab. Not always, but in many occasions the past gives us lessons of coexistence and tolerance. I hope let's learn something.

The photo is taken at the end of a beautiful day, in company of Frances, Kev, su hijo Brendan y Miguel. Very good company for a very pleasant moment.

Magnífica panorámica Angelillo, tan magnífica como el lugar que nos muestra. El formato panorámico le da una dimensión epica que realza el emplazamiento de esta ciudad, uno de los más hermosos que conozco. Me gusta mucho la luz sobre la ciudad, alternándose las luces y las sombras. Muy bonita, muchas gracias.

Bonita vista sobre Toledo. Me gusta el efecto de la curba del rio y como la luz hace que el ojo mira los teches y edificios de la ciudad - sobre todo el grande por la derecha. El formato le queda muy bien.

que bien has montado esta panorámica que muestra la espectacularidad de esta ciudad monumental, que conozco bien y a la cual estoy deseando volver.
La elegancia del meandro del Tajo rodeando el casco histórico realza la belleza de su arquitectura, con una perfecta iluminación de tonos cálidos.
Muy bello el cielo con las nubes al fondo, y un buen punto de vista (bajando del Cerro del Emperador, quizá?).
Me gusta también la versión larga, es impresionante.

Menuda panoramica de la city, muy buena. La luz es realmente calida y contrasta muy bien con las sombras, ademas la definicion muestra muchos detalles.

Hola Ángel,

Después de mi ausencia intento ponerme al día con las fotografías que no he tenido ocasión de ver, observo que no has puesto muchas, no quiero que bajes el ritmo eh! jeje es broma.

Bonita panorámica, en la versión larga se pueden apreciar innumerables detalles de este bello lugar que por cierto parece estar de moda, como decía en una critica anterior a ver si me decido y lo visito de nuevo después de mucho tiempo, aunque me tendría que esforzar mucho porque todas las posibles tomas de este lugar creo que ya han sido mostradas en TE ;-)

Buen trabajo compańero, agradezco volver a ver fotos de la gente de TE, espero estar en contacto, lástima que me perdiese el día de esa pequeńa quedada y de la que ya me comento algo Miguel, pero la vida es así y no nos da cuartel, otra vez será.

A super panoramic image Angel and one I'd love to see large and at full resolution. Super fine detail and colour and very even exposure. Excellent.
