Photographer's Note
This photo represents St-Jean-Batiste fireworks... a ritual to commemorate the anniversaty of our nation : Quebec.
Each and every year, people enjoy fireworks as well as traditional music on June 23rd and 24th and I decided to take a few shots using long exposure while looking at this magical show.
The shot was cropped and adjusted (curves) with Photoshop but both "explosions" were almost simultaneous and taken using a 5.0 sec exposure time...
I hope you'll enjoy the result as much as I do... it was harder to photograph then I thought but I'll be prepared for next year !!!
Vive le Québec Libre !!!

Fireworks photography is difficult, but you've managed to compose and capture the scene well in this shot. Unfortunately, the totally blown out center of the lower burst is just too much. It seems that detail is lost almost out to the tips of most of the burst trails. This detracts from the image, in my opinion.

Oh wow, just looking through earlier pictures, it's so easy to miss some, and I almost missed this, a tricky shot, but the results are well worth the effort, good luck with next year!
