Photographer's Note

Situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural, and economic center of the Czech state for over 1100 years.Prague is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and is among the most visited cities on the continent.Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Prague has become one of Europe's (and the world's) most popular tourist destinations. It is the sixth most-visited European city after London, Paris, Rome, Madrid and Berlin. Prague suffered considerably less damage during World War II than some other major cities in the region, allowing most of its historic architecture to stay true to form. It contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Renaissance, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern. About its castle that you can see in the photo, is considered as the largest ancient castle in the world. In first term, you can also see the well known Charles Bridge which is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, erected around 1700.
During the night Charles Bridge is a quiet witness of medieval times. But during the day it changes its face into a very busy place. Painters, owners of kiosks and other traders compete for the attention of numerous tourists crossing the bridge.

It is a very nice night shot with a good POV and beautiful colours. I like the reflections and the stars around the bridge lamps. Well done.

Hi Felip, a very nice and different shot of the castle. The light has been very managed, good colours and reflections. Prague is one of my favourite cities, so many beautiful buildings and photo opportunities. TFS, Jean

Hello Felip. Good composition and very well colors and light. But the image quality is a bit poor, I think the compression is too high. The large exposition is very well because the water have and interesting mood.

Yes, Felip, it is wonderful. Lights of the Golden City in the Blue hour, this is amazing.
Have you heard, the Rolling Stones offerd the money the create the shiny enlightment of the castle (Vaclav Havel, the former president, a really respected intellectuelle-bohéme was their friend). It is not an urban legend, it is true.

The note has a surprise for me: I didn't expect Madrid in fourth place; I'd expect for example Athens, Wien or Barcelona.

Hola mon Felip! I m sorry Im not coming here lately but Im so busy with studies. At least we have weekend again! :)
I see many great shots in your gallery, I will visit them all later. I have just bought new camera but as i said.. dont have time to touch my new fuji hehe. About your shot, I can say many good things. What I like the most, is the light exposition and color of the sky. Also it is very well composed. Perfect shot.

Hola Felip,
uma maca presa a l'hora blava, en format postal, i que té una forta atracció per la seva lum i els seus colors, el bonic paisatge urbŕ molt ben il.luminat, i els reflexes sobre l'aigua del riu.
La diagonal del pont i l'organització de l'enquadrament afegeixen un bon dinamisme i profunditat a la imatge.

My favourite blue hour, I just couldn't miss.

great shot, ideal capture, reflections, colour, exposure,all work in harmony in this one.
the POV might be a bit ordinary since there are many shots look like this in TE, however your photo is unique with high quality, pleasant to the eye.

good illustration of a blue hour momentphoto you have done almost all possible maybe some liveliness would make it better a person on the bridge or a small boat on the river just a thought. Really impressive quality

The night shot is a delight with the blue hour sky, the starery artificial lights, the perspective of the bridge & the lit up castle. Only two things suggested for improvement...noise reduction in the sky & colour of spelling your name & the picture title, should be IMO, a bit mellow! Picturewise, fine work!

Hola Felip,

Buena panorámica, el POW está bien escogido y la composición me gusta. La exposición de 8 segundos hace que la superficie del agua se vea como si estuviera congelada, lo que le da al reflejo de las luces un aire distinto. Parece una postal.
