Photographer's Note
A view from Simetsberg (1840m) down on Walchensee and the surrounding mountains in the Bavarian alps. The day was very hazy, thus the view was not very far and lighting conditions were difficult, I hardly managed a properly exposed shot. On the plus side, it's a very nice hike up there, and there's no crowd. Walchensee is amazing lake: almost 200m deep, often flat as a mirror, with changing shades of blue and green.

Very nice shot of some beautiful scenery. The dark green trees and the light green grass at the front are nice in contrast to the blue shades of the background. The layering effect of the haze is well captured. The combination of close and far here is really well balanced.

Even for a picture in dizzy conditions, I like it. However, I intend to make a WS Oli. See you later.

Beautiful scenery and nice perspective and depth, I like how the landscape is gradually dissapearing into the haze!

Good composition, with the diagonal green mountain going down and the small remote house down hill. (I wonder who lives there?)
The fog in the mountains creates a fresh morning atmosphere.
Looks like a nice place for a peaceful hike

Schöne Ansicht, ich verstehe sehr gut was Du über den Dunst sagst, man kann darüber gar nichts tun, Doch mag ich die Aussicht und die Landschaft, wunderbares Land

A very nice picture. I particularly like the graduations of colour of mountains receding into the distance.

Hi Oliver, thanks for sharing. Maybe at some day I will climb that mountain, too. I like how the scenery is fading in the haze. I personally would habe cropped the image so that (overexposed) top becomes less and the foreground becomes more visible. But still a very nice picture...

A fantastic landscape with well captured mountains and lake levels despite the large aperture. Maybe this contributed to the nice haze at the far distance. Congratulations ..

The misty hazy mountains in the distance and pretty sharp foreground make this view, breathless.I could just sit here Oliver. Usually I wouldn't mention technicalities about a photo if it is more than good enough to express a landscape. Just like this, I would mention instead, the sensation. Germany known for its technical and engineering works, her countryside is just as beautiful as any other touristic country.

Very beautiful scene. I'm impressed by the feeling of height and depth you managed to put into this shot. The atmosphere is also very good. Very well done.
