Photographer's Note
Here's a Harajuku Girl with a twist. She's in Hibiya Park. I took a walk in Hibiya Park yesterday afternoon and found that a concert was about to start and the place was swarming with these brightly dressed girls.
Unfortunately it was very overcast and under a canopy of trees, so this shot came out a bit soft with my camera set at ISO 200. I changed to ISO 400 just after this having checked this photo on the LCD, but it was too late, She was gone.

They are really exotic subject for photography. Panning gives this picture a dynamic sense but as you have noted, the rescue from a blurry picture hurts the overall feeling.

I think it's perfect it this blured walk... really! Probably without this blured, the photo didn't had a "sui generis" look has it have now.

A great shot, not what you wanted, but the legs which blur give more expression to this walking girl. It's fine that her top is sharp.

She looks like a hooker, or lolita, who is she?
This is a very good picture.

You was a lucky guy Martin, one time I saw the *** very best one *** Harajuku girl (a very colorful one), but when I got the camera, she already got away... (this also happened with a cute Pikachu Girl in Shibuya, I can't forgive myself when I rememmber that girl in street dressed as a yellow Pikachu and can't find any shot). BUT YOU GOT THE SHOT! And very well done! The blur at bottom, as Gael said, make us feel the movement, so you don't need to worry about that! I don't know all the world is using this kind of shoes (make any 'hobbit' be able to be a passarel model, cause sometimes they are so high :-)) but you can find this kind of shoes very easy here in Brazil...

i recognized that costume right away..She is dressed up as the guitarist, Aya from the jrock cosplay band Psycho Le Cemu. He wears that exact outfit in one of their videos..including the pink wig..(yes, Aya is a cross dresser)

With this kinds of shots I think that you just have to shoot and hope for the best. It is soft but you got a great capture here. Good work!!
