Staying in Pickering for a while...

In Pickering the clock went back to 1943 to give an experience of life on the Home Front when British and American troops were in the area training for the following year's D-Day landings.

Re-enactors dressed in civilian and military garb add to the spectacle and an estimated 10,000 crowd of locals and visitors thronged the Market Place on Saturday morning for the annual parade of veterans and vehicles.
