Intro: I'm an East Coast Canadian who has spend most of the last 8 years (pretty much my 20's) on the road trying my best to avoid school. Finally last year I did finish my degree (History and Politics), which just gave me more time to travel. So now I'm living in Japan and working as an English teacher and taking as many weekend trips as I can.
My interest in photography started at the beginning of my travels, and is ever increasing the more I travel. Until last year I was still a film guy and so the majority of my older posts are scans of prints. Finally I got myself a proper DSLR which has made me a much more experimental photographer.
My personal philosophy when it comes to travel photography is that you must try to capture the whole atmosphere of a place. For me that means getting a good mix of landscapes, architecture, culture, and people. Therefore, I try to post a wide variety of pictures in hopes that I will improve on all, becoming a Jack-Of-All-Trades, and a more successful travel photographer. Any suggestions to help me along the way are greatly appriciated.
